Inpatient Hospice

Our facility is designed with a home-like feel so that both the patient and family receive holistic care. Our team is guided by the highest ethical principles, while expertly caring for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families who are facing an incurable illness.

Patients admitted have needs including pain management, shortness of breath or other symptoms that cannot be managed in another setting. Our facility is staffed around the clock with licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants to meet our patient’s every need. Hospice-trained physicians also round daily to make adjustments in care plans and assess each patient. Our social worker and chaplain will assist with discharge planning and other needs once pain and symptoms are stable.

The 9-bed facility provides spacious semi-private rooms, each with the comforts of home including a television, sleeper chairs for visitors to spend the night, full private bathroom with private showers, telephones and free wi-fi access.

Because interpersonal relationships and being surrounded by love and support are part of the Canon Hospice experience, we consider families an integral part of the care team. Therefore, we want to ensure that families also have the comforts of home.
